Family from GCG near Ammanford to take part in BBC's "Coal House At War" programme
I just found this great article in the "South Wales Guardian" about how one of our families who live in Gwaun Cae Gurwen near Ammanford have been picked to star in the BBC Wales's "Coal House at War" television programme.
The Griffiths family may well be already in the house as the show is due to be broadcast from October 13th 2008. They were picked from 800 families who also applied.
I need to set a reminder to watch this when it goes on air as I love this kind of thing, I like "period drama" for a start and also have to admit to being a "reality" TV watcher, not all of them but some LOL so this kind of marries the two together for me, plus, it's a local to me family as I live just up the road in Glanamman.
This is a page from the BBC website all about the family (and the other two families taking part) and there is a nice little video as well.
BBC Wales "Coal House at War"
I wonder how they are getting on at the moment? Not sure I could do it, I do have to admit, now I am a bit older (48) I like my comforts and so I prefer to watch others put themselves through this kind of thing. So tell me, could you do it? Do let me know in the comment section, I would love to hear what you have to say.

Happy Weekend all
